38 Weeks
Can't believe its been almost a month since our last post! And the sad part is we can't even blame it on being busy with a baby...yet! We are busy preparing and waiting for our sweet baby boy to arrive though. Kate is quite ready for the pregnancy to be over (not exactly anticipating labor with delight). We are both anxiously excited to meet our son in the next few weeks or maybe even days! Here are what might be the last pregnancy pictures...

Maternity Photos
This past weekend Kate's Mom and sister, Bethany, were in town for baby showers. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, but we all enjoyed our time together. We are both so thankful for the generousity of our family and friends in spoiling our baby boy! We still need just a few items before his arrival, but definitely got a great start.
After the baby shower in Charleston, Bethany was obliging enough to accompany us to the beach to take some pictures. Here's some of the really good ones. We are planning on having a few put in black and white and framed, but haven't decided which ones yet.

A Glimpse of the Nursery
Well the nursery is certainly a work in progress, but we wanted to update with a couple quick pics. As many of you know Jon is building the furniture. He made the changing table/dresser in the pics, and is now working on the crib. He is so talented (as you can see!) and how special it is for him to be making furniture for our child! The bedding set we selected is called Petite Safari, and we chose it because it has very calming colors and is gender neutral. We plan on leaving the nursery as is for whenever God blesses us with another child, so it just made sense to choose something neutral. There are cute little safari baby animals with the mommy or daddy animals on the print. Anyways, we've had a lot of people ask about the nursery, so here's what we have so far. More pics to come soon hopefully!

31 Weeks
While Kate's belly continues to grow so does the to-do list of things to finish before our sweet baby boy's arrival! The nursery now has the completed changing table in it, and Jon has begun working on the crib. Since the baby will be in a bassinet in our bedroom initially the crib doesn't need to be done quite yet, but it would be nice for Jon not to have to work on it after the baby is born. You can see in the picture that Kate has hung the curtain in the nursery (no more flowery prints!) We will update with nursery pictures soon as things look a little more together. We are waiting on our baby showers too (in a couple weeks), and hopefully after those we can get ourselves organized and feel a little more prepared. We had our childbirth class all day yesterday at the hospital, so that was an interesting experience for both of us. While Kate knew most of the information from nursing school (even watched some of the same videos!) reality is starting to hit that childbirth is going to happen soon! Jon was a little overwhelmed with all of the information, but he was a great partner in the exercises and breathing/relaxation techniques we practiced.
This week we had another appointment with our OB and she isn't quite sure that baby boy has flipped into the head down position yet. We'll have an ultrasound in a few weeks to make sure he's figured out which way he needs to go! Kate also started feeling him have hiccups this week - and feels terrible that she can't do anything for him!
We are looking forward to a wonderful visit from Kate's mom and sister, Bethany in a couple weeks for the shower weekend. We are certainly praying our baby boy stays put until October, but Kate can't help but think it would be fun if Mom and Bethany were here when he comes!

Myrtle Beach
We decided to take advantage of one last weekend away while it was just the two of us, and just drove to Myrtle Beach to stay sort of close just in case. We enjoyed beautiful weather on the beach Saturday, got a little too burnt though. Kate will be 30 weeks pregnant tomorrow, so we are 3/4 of the way there!

28 weeks
Well we have made it into the third trimester! Jon has been working hard on the furniture for the nursery and should have the changing table done by this weekend. Hopefully the crib will be done before baby boy arrives. Kate is feeling good, just tired mostly from her new job. 8 and 12 hour shifts on your feet all day don't mix well with pregnancy! We are so thankful for our jobs and God's continued provision for us! We are also extremely thankful for the protection He has placed over our little one as he continues to grow and develop. We are looking forward to meeting him in less than 3 months!
