Here's Trevor enjoying his first delicious bites of rice cereal... He wasn't too impressed, but he did really well with learning how to eat from a spoon quickly.

Lunch with Daddy - 4/19/13
Jared's preschool hosted all the fathers for a special picnic lunch. Jared insisted on wearing his "I Dig my Dad" shirt :) They really enjoyed their ChickfilA lunch boxes & this special time together!

Trevor - 5 months
Trevor turned 5 months old on 4/14/13. In some ways the past 5 months have flown by, but in others they've passed more slowly. Trevor is still struggling with his reflux and sleeping issues, although his weight gain has continued to be slow and steady. We're hoping and praying that Trevor will outgrow some of these problems soon so we can all get some more rest. Right now Trevor is still waking at least once every night to eat, sometimes twice. Usually he doesn't sleep more than 4 consecutive hours at night, so this means of course that we don't either. During the day Trevor eats every 3 hours still. Sometimes he naps for over an hour or close to 2 hours, but usually he naps for less than an hour. Despite how this has obviously very much affected each of us, we are trying to enjoy each moment of his infancy. He's growing and learning new skills every day. He's usually very happy even when he's tired. Trevor loves watching his big brother's every move!

Touch a Truck - 4/13/13
We were able to enjoy a morning at the SC Farmer's Market for a special kids event. It was called Touch a Truck, and wow was this perfect for Jared! Jared loves trucks so he was so excited to be able to climb into all sorts of trucks and "drive" them. Jared's favorites were of course tractors, and the enormous John Deere combine. There were so many people that there were even lines at some of the trucks, so sometimes Kate & Trevor would stand in line while Jon & Jared checked out a truck without a line. This worked well for us because Trevor was not all that excited about all the people and constant honking horns and wailing sirens. We'll have to go again in a few years when both boys can enjoy all of the trucks together.
Love how Jon has to remove Jared from the cab since people are waiting for their turn...
Huge wheels!
Easter Weekend - 3/29-30/13
We spent Friday and Saturday of Easter weekend with Jon's family in Summerville, then Easter Sunday with Kate's family in Irmo (neglected to get a picture!) We all enjoyed Jon having a 3 day weekend and of course spending time with both families. Trevor did pretty well with all the excitement and being help by lots of different people. Jared loved his tractor rides and Easter egg hunts. We also made egg rolls at Jon's parents house (Kate's first experience doing this). We're thankful for the love of family, but even more so for the love of our Savior and the opportunity to know Him personally. Jared is very tender hearted so he had a little bit of a hard time with the Easter story, but we kept sharing it with him and will continue to do so. What a blessing and responsibility to share God's love with our children!

We love how Jared is helping Logan find eggs :)
Little Splasher
Trevor has been splashing around too much on the counter for bath time so we've had to relocate him to the bath tub. He seems to like it just as well, and his splashing doesn't need to be mopped up afterwards!
Hide & Seek
Jared has a new favorite hiding spot. He of course still thinks that he's pretty well hidden & if he can't see us then we surely can't see him :)
